New Poetic Children's Picture Book Created To Help A Child Feel Special And Unique

Finally a children's picture book for all ages. It will help them remember how important their life really is and how we must learn to enjoy the little things.

Forest Park, GA(PRWEB) August 25, 2008 -- Spiritual Poet and author Ruth Sadi El (formerly Wanda M. R. Garret) releases her first rhyming children's picture book, which was published in Sept. 2004.

This colorful and warmhearted picture book was also illustrated by the this author. It's the first in the "Little David" series to help all children feel good about who they are. Children with physical limitations and children who have none need an outlet to express how they feel inside. This special picture book can be enjoyed by children of all ages.

Eleanor Shields a reviewer for Black Butterfly Review had this to say about "Little David.":
"Wanda M. R. Garrett penned and illustrated a very delightful and moving poetic rhyming picture book."

The book starts off with a dynamic poem entitled, "You Are Somebody Special" and proceeds with a poetic story about a character named David.
As you turn the pages about a day in the life of Davd, you realize that David truly is a special little person. The book walks you through the joy that David gets out of everday life. David shows you that it is the little things that count and although you may not get what you want out of life, you need to be grateful for the life that you have.
Ms. Garrett does a wonderful job at explaining to children and parents alike, that you have to consider yourself wonderful, because you are a creation of God. While reading this book, I was not aware that David was in a wheel chair, but once it ended with his prayer, I was most definitely inspired by the words that I read. I would recommend this book to children of all ages, because it took a children's book to make me remember that God made me special and unique just as I am.
Bravo! Ms. Garrett, for getting across this most imporant message.

Originally from Wilmington, Delaware, this spiritual poet now lives in Riverdale, GA. She has nine grandchildren and three great grandson and one great granddaughter.

The second book coming out of the Little David series is entitled, "Little David Is Having A Very Very Bad Day," due to be released sometime in 2010.

She is a published author of two collections of poetry, Expression From Wanda, first self-published 2001, second edition published in 2003 by Conquering Books L.L.C. in Charlotte, NC.
