This poem was written by Wanda M. R. Garrett
(aka Ruth Sadi El) for some very special young people who attend, Paul Lawrence Dunbar
Elementary School, Forest City,
North Carolina. The purpose of this poem was to let the children know they are
unique, important, and most of all loved by Father God.
YOU ARE SOMEBODY
SPECIAL
***************************
You are somebody
special,
You are one of a kind,
Even though others may have your name,
Only you can make you shine,
There is no
one else just like you,
Your smile, your eyes, your ears,
God knows everything about you,
He can count everyone of
your tears,
Only you can be you,
And do the things you do,
You run, play, skip and jump,
Sometimes you fall,
And get a painful
lump,
Some of you are short,
Some of you are tall,
Some of you wear glasses,
Some of you are really small,
God
created all of you,
So be the best you that you can be,
Because You Are Somebody Special,
Just look in the mirror
and you'll see,....
You Are Somebody Special
